The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones are expected to be released with exciting features like microSD card support, dust and water resistant chassis and huge batteries.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will be arriving with a Quad HD display of 5.1-inch and its dual-edge curved display featuring sibling, the Galaxy S7 Edge will be coming with a Quad HD display of 5.5-inch. Both screens will support always-on display functionality that will light up certain portion on the screen to show display notification while keeping the rest of the display off, Venture Beat reported.

In North America, both handsets will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC whereas in the other parts of the world, it will be powered with Exynos 8890 chipset. The latter variants will also feature Cat. 9 LTE modem. All the editions of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones will feature 4 GB of RAM.
The S7 and S7 Edge smartphones will be coming with 32 GB and 64 GB storage editions. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones do not have microSD slot but the said feature will be available on Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. The external storage slot will support up to 200 GB of microSD card.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be available with a rear camera of 12 MP camera featuring a f/1.7 aperture lens that will be capable of shooting higher quality photos than the 16 MP camera that features a f/1.9 aperture lens. Both devices will feature selfie camera of 5-megapixel.
The Galaxy S7 will be equipped with 3000 mAh battery that will take around 2 hours to charge completely through wireless charging. The Galaxy S7 Edge will be packed with 3600 mAh battery that will take about 2.2 hours to achieve full charge through wireless charging.
With IP67 certification, the chassis of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will remain resistant to damage from dust and water. Both smartphones are expected to get unveiled on Feb. 21 before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 tech trade show that will start next month. Phone Arena reported.
