Samsung Electronics recently revealed a plethora of its latest products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among the prominent items that the company unveiled is a super-ultra high-definition TV which boasts of quantum dot technology as well as a refrigerator which recognizes voice commands.

Samsung's quantum dot TVs stood out because they provide significantly higher quality and are more cost-effective to produce than Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). Furthermore, Samsung shed light on the importance of quantum dot technology in enhancing the color, brightness, and contrast in the television industry.
According to CNet, due to the hefty prices of OLED panels, the manufacturers of leading televisions are now targeting quantum dot TVs. Quantum dot TVs give a much better quality of picture as well as a wider angle for viewing. Samsung's CH711 Quantum Dot TV is available in two different sized screens: 27 and 31.5 inches.
Discussing the new quantum dot curved monitor, Samsung's Senior Vice President Kim Seog-gi said that the public's expectations and demands are increasing with every passing day. Customers want a product which gives them a very real experience of whatever they are watching to completely immerses and catches their attention, Kim added. Samsung is trying to get a share of the United State's tech market with its latest high-end products.
