Japanese auto manufacturer is rolling out the Rouge Sport, known in the European market as the Qashqai, into the United States. The small crossover car will be added as part of the popular Rogue family model.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport is 12.1 inches shorter compared to the standard Rogue model, according to Detroit News. The Rogue Sport is 2.3-inch shorter on the wheelbase. This makes the Rogue Sports a tad larger than the Nissan Juke, the Kia Soul, and the Honda HR-V.

Despite the revised dimensions, the Rogue Sport looks more attractive than the base model with the front and rear overhangs adding an athletic touch to the car. At quick glance, not much changes were made with the Rogue Sport. The car shares the same grille design, color palette, and wheel styling as the existing Rogue model.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue comes only in a single configuration which has a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine capable of outputting up to 141 horsepower, according to Car and Driver. The new Rogue has variable automatic transmission.
The new Nissan Rogue comes in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL. The standard front-wheel and all-wheel drive configuration is also an option.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue S has a USB port, a backup camera, a satellite radio, and Bluetooth support. The SV trim adds features like dual-zone climate control, push-button start feature, 17-inch wheel set, automatic headlights, and proximity entry sensor. The SL trim comes standard with a 19-inch wheel set, a 360-degree camera, heated steering wheel, heather leather front seats, and fog lights.
Optional safety package includes a handful of active safety features including blind-spot warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automated emergency braking.
Nissan is yet to confirm the official pricing of the 2017 Rogue Sport which is expected to hit the market in Spring. Motor analysts estimate that the base model will be priced around $20,000.
