Luxury car maker Alfa Romeo recently unveiled the Stelvio First Edition, making it the first SUV in the company's portfolio not to make use of the Quadrifoglio design. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio First Edition will be available for order in Europe.
The First Edition is considered part of the lower-performance Stelvio models. The standard model packs an all-wheel drive, with power coming from an aluminum 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of outputting up to 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. The Q4 all-wheel drive system of the Stelvio First Edition sends all of the car's torque to the rear axle in normal driving conditions. However, the SUV packs an active transfer and front differential which allows up to 50 percent of the power be sent to the front axle every time it is needed, according to Auto Express.
Alfa Romeo claims that the Stelvio First Edition can accelerate from zero to 60mph in 5.7 seconds. The company added that the car has a rated top speed of 143mph.
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio First Edition packs a twenty-inch allow wheel set, colored brake calipers, bi-xenon headlights, courtesy lights on the door handles, and chrome plated window frames, according to Auto Mobile Mag. In the interior, the SUV is adorned with heated leather seats, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, real wood accents, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, and 3D navigation feature.
The Stelvio First Edition also packs quite a handful of safety features. The standard model comes with lane departure warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and integrated braking system. Other features are a rear camera with dynamic guidelines, parking sensors, and power-operated tailgate.
Alfa Romeo said that the Stelvio First Edition would also come in an upgraded Ti model which can be equipped with either the Sport or Lusso packages.
