Apple fans can expect three new tablets from the Cupertino-based company this year. However, there are still no concrete details about the possible release dates of the 2017 iPad models.
Apple decided not to update its iPad lineup in 2016, but three upgraded tablets are set for release this year, DigiTimes reported. The new iPad Pro is among the tablets scheduled to hit the market this year.

The iPad Pro 2017 model will feature a 12.9-inch display and will be powered by an A10X processor. The A10X processor has been getting a lot of attention after it was revealed that it is significantly faster than the A10 chipset that was used in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
No further specs and features of the upcoming iPad models were revealed. However, most of the components of the devices will be supplied by Apple's top suppliers, as the device will mainly target the high-end sector. The possible release date of the device has not been revealed. However, Apple is expected to also unveil a 10.5-inch and 9.7-inch iPad models.
One of the three devices will reportedly enter mass production in the first quarter of the year, while the remaining two gadgets will be produced within the second quarter of the year. This means that these three Apple tablets may not be available for purchase until the second half of the year.
Surprisingly, an upgraded iPad Mini was not announced. The iPad Mini has been a popular gadget mainly because of its affordable price. Apple enthusiasts have been aching to know if there will be a new iPad Mini in the coming months, but the recent update suggests that the long wait for them will not end soon.
However, there is a chance the 9.7-inch iPad will be an entry-level device. This means that it will virtually become the iPad Mini in Apple's 2017 tablet lineup, WCCF Tech reported.
