Toyota on Monday launched its latest 2017 Vios.
Toyota has finally launched on Monday the 2017 Vios sedan in Thailand with a starting price tag of 609,000 baht (roughly $17,200) and it is expected to make a debut in India later this year.
The latest iteration of the c-segment sedan received a major overhaul in line with Toyota's latest design language. The 2017 Toyota Vios gets some added features including LED DRLS, revised fog lamps, flared wheel arches new 16-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, to name a few. A large intake grille has been changed too with a bolder logo in the middle. The front end has been also altered and is now similar to the recently released Camry.

With regard to the dimension, the 2017 Toyota Vios has a length of 4,410 mm, width of 1,700 mm, and height of 1,475 mm. Its wheel base stands at 2,550 mm, while its turning radius at 5.1 mm.
On the inside, the 2017 Vios has been designed with a premium dual-tone cabin. It is equipped with climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, and a touchscreen infotainment system that can be connected to a smartphone. Higher trims are likely to have color-coded trims on the dashboard and door pads, the News 18 reported.
In the engine part, the 2017 Vios gets a 1.5-liter petrol engine or a 1.4-liter diesel mil. The petrol unit is good for 15 to 16 km/L, while the diesel has more efficient figures at 21 to 22 km/L, the OnCars.in noted. Transmission responsibilities are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox, although CVT automatic units are also up for grab.
Talking about safety, the Thailand-spec Vios boasts of dual front SRS airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, ISOFIX rear child seat anchors, optional reverse camera, tractional control, and vehicle stability control, according to Auto Industry News.
The 2017 Vios is likely to compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, and Volkswagen Vento in the Indian market.
