Popular leakster Evan Blass also known as Twitter user @evleaks said, "Add Verizon and U.S. Cellular to the list." It should be noted that this is not the final list. The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 was seen on GeekBench running on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The listing reveals that the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. The 2016 model only comes with a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. If the listing is true, Samsung fans would be happy to have an improved processor. The benchmark listing offers only this information but other rumored specs include a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 1280 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is also speculated to sport a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front snapper. It may come with a 3,000 mAh battery which is 10 percent less than the 2016 model's battery capacity. The Galaxy J7 2016 offered 16 GB of internal storage with expandable memory of up to 128 GB via microSD card.
For the upcoming Galaxy J7 2017, fans are hopeful that Samsung will increase the internal storage to at least 32 GB and maintain the expandable memory feature. It is still unknown when the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 will be unveiled or how much it will cost.
