Aside from the shotgun and handgun, “Resident Evil 7” also offers a .44 magnum if players know where to find it. Unlike the other weapons in the game, this one is located in the plantation and needs to be unlocked before players can access it. This article contains a step-by-step guide on where to find the magnum and how to get it.

Location of the Magnum
The magnum can be found in the trailer of the Baker family in their yard area. The only way to access the trailer is to finish the three head dog task in the Main House. Once inside the trailer, players will find many goodies, item box, a save point and the powerful magnum. Unfortunately, the magnum is locked in a bird cage and can only be opened when the player has enough antique coins.
How to Get Antique Coins
According to VG247, there are many antique coins in “Resident Evil 7” and depending on the game’s difficulty, a player can collect as much as 33 coins. If players use their coins to get the magnum, they will have to give up getting the stabilizer and steroids which are found in the other two cages in the trailer.
Where to Find Magnum Bullets
As soon as the player opens the bird cage of the magnum, bullets should spawn as they progress through the game, according to Gamerant. There are not much magnum bullets around the game, so players have to observe each room carefully so they do not miss any bullet. Since the bullets are very rare, its best to use the magnum only in big boss fights or when in tight situations.
If players decide to get the steroids or stabilizer instead of the magnum, they can still win the game without it and use the shotgun and handgun as an alternative.
