In order for a player to defeat Mia Tape in “Resident Evil 7” and earn the “Can’t Catch Me” achievement, they must not get caught by the crazy Marguerite Baker. So this article is all about guiding players how to defeat Mia Tape in all three encounters. This guide starts right after the player finds the VHS in the main house and has entered the Recreation room to watch it.

The First Fight
The first time players will battle with Marguerite is after they go past the bridge and go inside the shack. The path will lead them through a door after the huge hole on the left side. Just continue forward and go past the big pile of television and the three doors. All the doors will be locked at this point and the only way they can defend themselves from attacks is by ducking behind the big crate. There is no way for the player to win in this fight and players can only hide until Marguerite leaves on her own.
The Second Fight
The second battle with Marguerite will happen when the player goes inside the room with a projector. It's best if players don’t explore this area just yet and quickly head to the exit using the back door. Be attentive during this time because Marguerite will enter the room any moment and observe the room. Players should stay low and remain undetected until she finish her dialogue. This scene will take about 2 minutes to finish but she will leave the room after it.
Once the room is clear, head to the statue and start the shadow puzzle. The puzzle can be solved by turning the pieces until a shadow of a spider is formed on the wall. This will open a secret door and the fight will begin.
The Third Fight
The third and last battle with Marguerite will start when the player goes inside the final room after going through the long corridor. Marguerite will suddenly appear so players must quickly duck and hide. Move around the area while hiding behind the debris and staying out of Marguerite’s sight. Players must make their way back to the room and find the space to crawl. The path will lead to the end of the battle and start a cutscene. Players who do all three battles correctly will earn the achievement.
