SpaceX is preparing for the re-launch of its Falcon 9 rocket used to transport the SES 10 communication satellite into orbit. As part of the plan, the EchoStar 23 satellite mounted on the Full Thrust Falcon 9 will be launched from the Kennedy Space Center on Friday, February 3.
The satellite will be launched from Launch Pad 39 A. SpaceX will be using the historic Saturn V launch pad at KSC for the communication satellite, according to Space Coast Daily. The Falcon 9 rocket was destroyed by fire during static test firing in September last year. That explosion also destroyed the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station launch pad.

In January, SpaceX conducted a test fire of the Falcon 9 rocket in preparation for the launch. The Falcon 9 rocket was used to launch the CRS-8 into orbit for a resupply mission to the International Space Station. According to Space, the same rocket that is being geared up for another launch.
Falcon 9's latest successful launch and touchdown was on January 14 when the rocket landed in the ocean after launching 10 communication satellites.
SpaceX is developing more innovative strategies to upgrade technologies that will enable the re-use of rocket launchers. This advancement in technology has been the company's ace in spaceflight cost-cutting measures. The re-use of the CRS 8 as well as other launchers has greatly boosted SpaceX's profitability.
