The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 successor has been seen on GFXBench yet again. It is not the first time the Galaxy J7 2017 was leaked online but the recent listing on the benchmarking database shows that the J7 2017 has the model number SM-J727A.
Based on this GFXBench listing, the Galaxy J7 2017 will likely come with an octa-core Exynos 7870 clocked at 1.5 GHz. It may also feature an ARM Mali-T830 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is also hinted to come with a 5.5-inch display with only 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. This is different from previous reports which said than it will come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 1280 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The recent listing also shows that it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera with 1920 x 1080 full HD video recording support. The rear camera will also sport a face detection feature, autofocus and flash. According to leakster Evan Blass, the Galaxy J7 2017 may only be picked up by Verizon, US Cellular and AT&T.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 was previously seen on GeekBench running on Android 7.0 Nougat with model number SM-J727P. The first listing reveals that the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. The 2016 model only comes with a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. If the listing is true, Samsung fans would be happy to have an improved processor. The benchmark listing offered only this information.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is also previously speculated to sport a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front snapper. It may come with a 3,000 mAh battery which is 10 percent less than the 2016 model's battery capacity.
The Galaxy J7 2016 offered 16 GB of internal storage with expandable memory of up to 128 GB via microSD card. For the upcoming Galaxy J7 2017, fans are hopeful that Samsung will increase the internal storage to at least 32 GB and maintain the expandable memory feature. It is still unknown when the Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 will be unveiled or how much it will cost.
