It is confirmed that the new smartphone of Xiaomi will be launched this coming February 8, in the form of Redmi Note 4X. It is the upgraded version of current Xiaomi Mi Rednote 4, only with minor difference in specifications.

Still, there might be more than just the specifications change. However, as far as the leaks dictate, the Redmi Note 4X will have an all metal unibody. The display will have a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) with 2.5D glass on top.

The basic difference of the Redmi Note 4X from its predecessors is that it will be running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor unlike the previously used MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor. It will have either a 2GB, 3GB, or 4GB RAM coupled with either a 32GB or 64GB storage. A microSD expansion of up to 256GB could also be part of the specs.

Acccording to Phoneradar, the phone will come with MIUI 8.1 based on Marshmallow out-of-the-box. A Nougat upgrade could be possible soon via over-the-air downloading. The Redmi Note 4X can also be used with an LTE connectivity for high-speed internet. The camera will be sporting a 16MP autofocus rear and 5MP front camera.

A fingerprint sensor will be present on the device, but according to leaks, the Mi Pay may not be available for Redmi Note 4X. It will have an IR Blaster that is common on all Redmi Note series. As for the battery, it will also have 4100mAh capacity, Gadgets.NDTV reports.

Initially, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will be launched in China, but may possibly enter the international market soon. The official sales in the country will be on February 14, Valentine's Day. On the other hand, the Redmi 4 will be officially launched in India soon with a 5-inch HD display but power features like that of Redmi Note 4.
