However, video game journalist Jim Sterling revealed a new reason for Square Enix's decision to make an episodic launch for "Final Fantasy 7" remake in a posted video on YouTube. According to Sterling, Square Enix has been planning to have their video game titles break down into small parts to sell to the customers before the actual game is finished. It is a method for customers to pay for a game now, and then pay more when Square Enix is done with the features, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Sterling added that his source revealed Square Enix is worried about the the success of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as they were not sure if hey are popular enough for gamers to be interested due to the low software sales from their predecessors. Square Enix did not have faith in the $60 single player console gaming experience and invest in a different method to earn more money and not invest too much on creating game's in a traditional sense
However, Square Enix did not expect the huge success of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, which ultimately back fired their plans. Game's such as "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and "Fallout 4" made the consoles more popular and Square Enix will take that advantage by putting "Final Fantasy 7" remake in the consoles.
In other new, "Final Fantasy 7" remake will likely be divided into four parts as the possible endings of each episode will highlight some of the game's original and memorable events.
Some of these memorable events include the journey in Midgar, Aerith Gainsborough's death, the Materia Quest and the return to the Crater, IDigital Times reported.
Aside from the game divided into four parts, "Final Fantasy 7" remake will likely have a guest character as several gaming fans speculated that Claire "Lightning" Farron of "Final Fantasy XIII" will be added to the game.
Lightning is recently seen being the first virtual model for Louis Vuitton and stated in an interview that she has several upcoming projects and could not wait to return to the world of strife soon.
"Final Fantasy 7" remake will be available in PlayStation 4 console.
