April of New York, which is probably the most popular giraffe these days, has become an internet sensation following her livestream video. The 15-year-old animal is set to give birth anytime soon.

Since Thursday, the world wide web has been waiting for the arrival of her calf. However, by Sunday, she had still not given birth. It is April's offspring with a five-year-old giraffe after 15 months of pregnancy.

With cameras mounted by the Harpursville's Animal Adventure Park, it is expected that the entire process of giving birth would be captured. The giraffe would be giving birth to her fourth calf which is anticipated to weigh about 150 pounds and measure about six feet tall.

The YouTube livestream was taken down for a while after alleged pranksters reported it to have showcased extreme nudity. However, with the demand coming from a number of internet users, YouTube immediately reinstated it.

With the somehow dragging turn of events in the life of April, several viewers took to social media to express their sentiments.

"I thought it was like 1am but it's actually 3:46am & I'm still awake steady watching this pregnant giraffe livestream wtf," Dana Fiorio tweeted.

"1:30 am and I'm still checking on this giraffe if I miss the birth I'm gonna be pissed," another Twitter user wrote while continuously waiting for the giraffe to give birth. "Too much time invested."

"Omg I was really just watching April the giraffe for a couple of hours again," another admitted. "wtf is wrong with me?"

On Thursday, zoo owner Jordan Patch pointed out that delays in giving birth among giraffes happen often. He emphasized that "It's a very natural process, and we can't put timelines on that." He noted that timelines are human-invented, and that animals will do things according to their own timeline.
