"Persona 5's" released date has been a mystery to gamers so far, since Atlus changed its intended release date last year. Several rumors speculated that "Persona 5" could be out in the market in the summer along with Square Enix's upcoming RPG game, "Final Fantasy XV", but it has been cleared out since the Japanese company could be revealing "FFXV's" release date in their March event.
Game director Katsura Hashino stated in an interview that "Persona 5" will indeed be around this year and Atlus will have more information about the game soon. Hashino added that the reason for "Persona 5's" delay is that they needed more time to develop several DLC to make the game as perfect as possible.
Aside from the possible summer launch date, several gaming fans cited their opinions on what they want to see in "Persona 5".
Atlus already revealed three gameplay options for the sequel such as "Cooperation", "Sneak" and"All-out Attack", as well as new characters like Ryuki Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa and a talking cat named Morgana.
"Persona 5" will feature side quests for each character in other for gamers to have an insight of their past endeavours and to make a more interesting storyline in the main game.
Some of improvements that gaming fans want to see for "Persona 5" are crossover guest characters from the previous titles such as Yu Narukami, Chie, Naoto from "Persona 4" or Aigis of "Persona 3" since these titles are connected or possible throwing away several easter eggs within the sequel.
Another improvement that fans suggested is having the protagonist fully voiced instead of being a silent hero. A very controversial move, since the past titles did not make any dialogue to their main heroes with the exception of shouting out "Persona" during battles. This could be a game changer in "Persona 5" having the main hero talk and interact normally with other characters instead of just listening to them and being just around the background, Gamingbolt reported.
The sequel will feature other real world activities such as going to school, riding the subway, play baseball and even an in-game social media website to interact with friends.
"Persona 5" will launch in the summer 2016 in Japan and sometime in 2016 in the United States for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
