"The Mission E will sit in the segment below the Panamera. It will offer a 500km (311 mile) electric range, with a 15-minute charge time... there will be more than one [model], with different levels of power, Digital Trends quoted Blume as saying.
Aside from the said options, other updates that would hopefully entice customers to purchase their model car will likewise be incorporated in Porsche Mission E. This would include over-the-air updates and software-locked options, according to Electrek.
As part of the hype, the company recently divulged their plan to incorporate interesting updates to Mission E. Most customers of electric vehicles go for Tesla cars because of software-locked features and other relevant updates. Porsche plans to lure customers into its fold.
With the rumored price cutting down the $80,000 Panamera, more consumers and autoholics will be attracted to the Porsche Mission E.
However, it is still too early to determine the capacity and full potential of the upcoming Porsche electric vehicle. Mission E is still two years away from being released. Prototypes of the vehicle are yet to be tested, and it may commence this summer.
