The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is another success for Nvidia as the recently released GeForce graphics processor is selling like hot cakes. Apart from the price, its performance is one of the reasons behind the warm reception of the processor.
It was previously reported that the GTX 1080 Ti was pushed by renowned overclocker Kingpin to 2.5GHz. However, in a most recent update, the graphics processor reached 3GHz overclock, according to PC Gamer. The said record was achieved by modifying the card's printed circuit board, which, in turn, bypassed the voltage locks of the device.

The overclocking process made with the 1080 Ti highlights the potential of the newcomer in boosting gaming performance, benchmark score, and even simple desktop tasks. Thus making it more attractive for global consumers in need of speed.
Aside from the overclocking achievement reached by GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, Nvidia has also managed to reach into the hearts of consumers. After the arrival of their Titan X last summers, the latest flagship graphics processors has become highly sought by gamers.
The reason behind the demand for GTX 1080 Ti is its price and performance. As compared to Nvidia Titan X, the former is cheaper and slightly better than the latter. In terms of price comparison, the 1080 Ti is priced around $700, while Nvidia Titan X is more than $1,000, according to The Motley Fool.
The device is said to have sold-out. As of the current writing, it is out of stock on of some online hardware resellers, like Newegg. While on Amazon, its availability relies on third-party resellers, which will likely affect the price of Nvidia's graphic processor.
As an overview, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is not based on a brand-new chip. It is rather based on the same chip that powers the Titan X, known as GP102.
