Dying Light is an open-world first person survival horror video game developled by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
New details for "Dying Light" will feature a new difficulty mode for "The Following" DLC, as well as the expansion using unlocked cores for the consoles and Cloud version soon.
Techland announced a new difficulty mode for "Dying Light: The Following" called "Nightmare mode" and according to game producer Tymon Smektala, the new difficulty is made for the sole purpose of challenging players at their limit.

Nightmare mode will feature players engaging stronger and more brutal A.I. opponents, namely zombie and other mutated monsters. Players must prepare for it preemptively and simply the survive the challenge of several hordes of monsters. The draw back for Nightmare mode is that gamers are not allowed to use easter egg weapons and XP penalties are being implemented whenever they die during the game.
However, gamers will be heavily rewarded when they survive Nightmare mode as they will earn experience points very quickly, gamer can use Golden tier melee weapons and players will have a ten percent XP along with their partner in co-op mode.
Nightmare mode will feature longer night time and less HUD options to depend on. Smektala encourage gamers to prepare themselves for "Nightmare mode" as it will help them push themselves to the limit and use every skill they have learned and earn in the game to survive this challenge, Gamerant reported.
Techland previously mentioned that "Dying Light: The Following" will feature customizations for the Dirt Buggies from pain jobs, engines and even weapons. The Expansion will also have Bounty modes after they have finished the game and these will able gamers to accomplish certain task to earn XP points. There are possible PvP death matches or co-op modes within "The Following".
In other news, Smektala stated that they will use an additional CPU core on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles for "Dying Light: The Following" as explained that the game was made and optimize to have six cores, and opening the seventh core could could give them a good reserve of processing power, Gamingbolt reported.
The move was made essentially to give Techland a helping hand in dealing with more processor intense situations, but simply put it, they wanted use additional CPU power for "Dying Light: The Following".
Smektala added that they are also looking in to other technology like the Cloud for future projects stating that Techland's R&D and Engine teams are already trying things from the start in order to find out what could work citing numerous possibilities and applications.
"Dying Light The Following" will launch on Feb. 9 and will cost around $20 or purchase it online for $30 using the game's season pass.
