Battle.net has been replaced with Blizzard, however, there has not been a notable change in terms of design and functionality. As reported by Game Spot, Blizzard explains that "Battle.net was created to include a tailored online-gaming service together with your game was more of a novel concept, so we put a lot of focus on explaining what the service was and how it worked, including giving it a distinct name."

PC Gamer also added that the odd-looking slashy-triangle-thing in the upper-left corner of the launcher is gone, replaced by the famous, stylized Blizzard logo. Another change in the app is the "What's New" which articulates, "We've given the App a small makeover to make you feel more at home in the Blizzard universe. Remember, together we are strong!"

Blizzard Entertainment is hoping to eliminate confusion between having two separate identities namely Blizzard and Battle.net. After 20 years of operating to deliver effective service to the players, Blizzard is somehow ready for software upgrade. Fans of the popular "Diablo II" will surely miss the game since it will no longer be available. However, avid player will expect the return of Necromancer. Stay tuned for more Telegiz update.
