What Do Your Exes Have In Common?
When you enter into relationships, do you ever have a definite type? Like, maybe you are interested with men who have tattoos. Or maybe, you are more attracted with people who are intellectuals. Or, perhaps, you have a thing for adventures. Well, whatever it is, I believe that all your exes have one thing in common.

Researchers conducted a study to know how individuals choose their partners. And aside from the clear fact that they were selected by the same person, they want to determine whether people use demonstrable patterns in choosing their partners. It was ascertained that people have a type and if they should compare their exes, all of them have certain characteristics that are shared in common.
The study, which was published in the "Journal of Personality and Social Psychology," conducted by researchers from the University of California considered three various studies and noted the results of each. They found out the characteristics of more than 1,000 individuals as well as their heterosexual relationships that were taken from personal interviews and social media.
The study's primary author and associate professor of psychology Paul Eastwick said that although people have a certain type, their personal desirability as well as their residence affects their decision.
It is shown that our residence, the place where we live and also our demographic groups, influences the person whom we date, not because of our preference, but because our environment has an impact.
For instance, people who have the same educational attainment may date each other, since they can meet each other maybe due to school or work. It is also the same with people who are focused on religion.
Since they have the same lifestyle, there is a greater possibility that they will meet each other. In which case, the decision is not because of our preference, but it is because of our environment.
