OnePlus 2
OnePlus has released Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones. The company is expected to release the update very soon to OnePlus 2 users.
The Chinese smartphone maker had released Android 7.1.1 Nougat OxygenOS 4.1.0 update for OnePlus 3 and 3T users on March 16. The same update is expected to be available for OnePlus 2 users soon as the smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform with Android Nougat OS, Android Headlines reported.

The most recent update that the Chinese manufacturer has released for OnePlus 2 is OxygenOS 3.5.8 flavored Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. OnePlus has also released the Android Security Patch for March month for OnePlus 2 users.
OnePlus 2 users have been eagerly waiting for the release of Nougat update. OnePlus is allegedly testing OnePlus 2 with Nougat update as it was spotted on Geekbench which indicates that the OnePlus 2 Android 7.0 Nougat update is close at hand. There is possibility that the update would be coming to OnePlus 2 users by next month or in May.
OnePlus 3 and 3T users were first treated with Nougat update in December 31 in the previous month. However, the update with OxygenOS 4.0.1 contained bugs because of which the company had to release OxygenOS 4.0.2 as bugs fixer. It again released OxygenOS 4.0.3 in February to bring more stability to Nougat OS for OnePlus 3 and 3T users. Finally, Android 7.1.1 Nougat with OxygenOS 4.1.0 update was released earlier in this month.
Hence, it seems that the Chinese firm will be careful in releasing the update to OnePlus 2 users. In a bid to launch stable Nougat udpate, OnePlus may further delay the update for OnePlus 2 users. Since the company has already released Google Assistant update for OnePlus 3 and 3T users, OnePlus 2 users are also expected to receive it. OnePlus X and One smartphones are unlikely to get updated to Nougat as the Snapdragon 801 processors on both phones are incompatible with graphics driver of the latest Android OS, Gizmo China reported.
