The Xbox Project Scorpio is expected to be officially announced by Microsoft at the E3 2017, but there are rumors that its actual release will happen during the holiday season this year. The console will be launched alongside popular game titles this year.
2017 is a big year for tech and video games enthusiasts as two of the biggest console manufacturers are expected to unveil their upgraded gaming platforms soon. Specifically, both Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox will showcase the enhanced versions of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, respectively.

As for the Xbox One, the next-in-line game console is known as the Xbox Project Scorpio. Details regarding the Project Scorpio are limited, but Microsoft recently released information about top game titles that will be released alongside the console.
There is still no exact release date for the Xbox Project Scorpio, although many gamers anticipate that its release will coincide with the upcoming AAA game titles release this year. According to a tweet from Xbox executive Phil Spencer, the public must follow the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 this June to know more about the Project Scorpio, and the huge video games that will be launched with it.
According to MobiPicker, game retailer GameStop has given positive feedback on the early development of the Xbox Project Scorpio. GameStop head operating officer Tony Bartel described the upcoming Xbox version as "very gaming centric," meaning that the Project Scorpio is made for the purpose of enjoying the best video games on the market today. Among the most anticipated features of the Xbox Project Scorpio is its 4K support, raising the bar for top-quality gaming experiences
Another feature that will make the Xbox Project Scorpio distinct is its powerful graphics features. It will have up to 6-teraflop GPU for maximized visual treat.
According to the latest rumors, the Xbox Project Scorpio will be officially launched this holiday season. The holiday release of the console is just in time for the expected arrival of new video games this year. There is still no official list of games playable on the upcoming Xbox console, but more of it are expected to be revealed heading to the end of 2017.
First previewed at last year's E3 presentation, the Project Scorpio is expected to have an edge against the other gaming companies' new powerful consoles, the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 Pro.
