When it comes to the new maps, the April update of "Gears of War 4" adds two extra maps that resemble from Gears of War 3: Hotel and Slab. The two have been updated and improved for the new game.
A new COG character for the Legacy Character line-up will also come to "Gears of War 4" update; it follows Tai released in March. The Locust character Kantus will also be added into a Gear Pack this April.
The New Horde and Versus events are also scheduled to start this April 21st and April 28th. Microsoft rolls out new weapon tuning changes for April update and described it to be the "major update" for Core and Competitive.
Core tuning concentrates on allowing the player to decide on how to play that permits a variety of play styles to battle in a less team-centric environment. The main goal of the update is to balance the starting weapons and clarify the roles. Each weapon will be suited for its range for Gnasher at close range, the Lancer at mid-range, and the Hammerburst at long range.
While for Competitive Tuning, it will be all about the top-level play that allows teamwork to shine while keeping a high bar for individual skill. It also focuses on the improvements to highlight the teamwork and competitive nature of playing.
