Samsung is rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0 models
Telecom company Sprint has become the first major carrier in the United States to officially begin releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Samsung had announced in January that the software update would start in the first half of this year. The South Korean company said that the Android 7.0 Nougat would be available not only to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but also to the Galaxy A3, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE), Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy A8, and Galaxy Tab A with S Pen.

Users who purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 from Sprint can check out the Android 7.0 Nougat update weighing 1.4GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 should have a build number of N920PVPU3DQC5. It should also contain the latest TouchWiz UI and the March security patch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was introduced August 2015 with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a pixel density of 518 ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. An octa-core Exynos 7420 Octa chipset provides power for the device
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 contains the Mali-T760MP8 graphics processing unit and runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system that can be upgraded to Marshmallow. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. It is loaded with a 3000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner.
There have no official announcements yet as to when the other carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile will follow Sprint and start updating their subscribers, who purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
