Episode Prompto will take place somewhere in Niflheim and will explore his backstory, where he was a a guinea pig of the Empire, but managed to escape their facility before the events of "Final Fantasy XV." A teaser for the episode was featured in the end of Episode Gladiolus as Prompto is in a snowy field holding his gun preparing to shoot somebody.
Prompto has a hard time pulling the trigger, but fires the gun with full conviction. The trailer ends with a release date of "6/2017," which happens to be sometime in June.
The teaser trailer does not reveal who the wounded man is, but judging by Prompto’s reaction, he appears to be a close friend of his. Judging by Prompto's hesitation here is definitely a close connection between the two and gamers will eventually know this when the DLC episode comes out in "Final Fantasy XV" soon, Windowsreport reported.
In other news, a new rumor is making rounds about a new "Final Fantasy" video game title as a picture circulating around the internet claiming that "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" is in the works and will be separate game renamed "World of Versus," MMOExaminer reported.
"Final Fantasy Versus XIII" was the original title name of "Final Fantasy XV" before it was re-branded by Square Enix three years ago. "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" was originally depicted as part of the Fabula Crystallis storyline along with "Final Fantasy XIII" and "Final Fantasy Type-0" game.
While gaming fans are skeptical about "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" being a separate game. Perhaps an announcement for the title is finally due given the success of "Final Fantasy XV" last year till today. It would not be out of the realm of possibility for Square Enix to try and capitalize on the momentum they have gotten and possibly make another game based on scrap material.
Previous reports revealed that Square Enix will have plans to make a DLC episode for "Final Fantasy XV's" main villain Ardyn Izunia as gaming fans are curious about the his past prior to the events of the main story.
Square Enix also made a soft launch of a mobile version of "Final Fantasy XV" called "Final Fantasy XV: Empire." The mobile version will not be a action-RPG as players will be asked to build structures and cities where they can conduct research on various upgrades or advancements for the heroes and troops alike. Players can even choose gears that are specifically themed for a character's skills, sets and gems.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
