The new "God of War" video game will likely release on Dec. 29, if the latest leak is to be believed. A recent clue has also hinted that all new feature will debut in the next entry to the action-adventure franchise from Sta. Monica Studio.
As this point in time, Sony Interactive Entertainment has been consistenly mum regarding the release date of the new "God of War". Other than the gameply trailer shown at E3 last year and at PlayStation Experience in December, details about the game remain sparse.

But now that E3 2017 is fast approaching, it is expected that will confirm the release date of the new "God of War". Perhaps, the developer will include a deeper dive into the story and features that make the latest title any different from the previous GOW games.
While E3 is still a couple of months away, fans turn to leaks offering possibilities of the game's release date to happen later this 2017. The most recent leak is courtesy of retailer listing, which, at most times, are sources of information of game releases.
The Amazon page revealed that the PS4 exclusive game will hit the store shelves on Dec. 29. This latest development has surfaced again after a a number of leaks suggested a release in late 2017.
In more news, game director Cory Barlog said earlier that the new "God of War" is single-player only. On the contrary, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a new clue that the game will debut a multiplayer mode.
A recent job listing at Sta. Monica's website is looking for a Senior Multiplayer Programmer. The post reads that the candidate who will qualify will be joining their team behind the well-received "God of War" games.
The developer has yet to comment on the leaked release date and the possible inclusion of multiplayer mode for the new "God of War". Pending an official announcement before E3 2017, it is best for fans to take these as mere speculations for now.
