The Sony Xperia XA1 smartphone with a 23-megapixel rear camera and Android Nougat has been unveiled in India at the price tag of $310.07 (around Rs. 19,990). It is now available at all Sony Center and major electronic stores located in the country.

The Sony Xperia XA1 is the latest member of the Xperia series. It is the successor of Sony Xperia XA. It was first introduced in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, alongside handsets such as Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1 Ultra, and Xperia XZs.

The Sony Xperia XA1 sports a diamond cut-like finish at the top and bottom with aluminum sides. It has a 5-inch high-definition display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection from minor scratches.

The Sony Xperia XA1 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in memory that can be further extended up to a maximum of 256GB using a micro SD card slot. It also comes with an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 chipset (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz). The device runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The Sony Xperia XA1 highlights a 23-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.0, LED flash, hybrid autofocus, 1/2.3" Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, phase detection autofocus, and 5x Clear Image Zoom. It is accompanied with an 8-megapixel camera on the front with 23mm wide-angle lens. Both cameras can record videos in 1080p.

The Sony Xperia XA1 is loaded with a 2300mAh battery that supports Quick Charging. It is a mid-range dual SIM smartphone with connectivity options including 4G, dual SIM, NFC, A-GNSS (GPS + GLONASS), WiFi Miracast, USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth v4.2.

The Sony Xperia XA1 measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm in dimension with a weight of 143 grams. It comes in black, white, and pink color.
