The BlackBerry KEYone may not be similar to other popular smartphones today like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 8 because of its classic physical QWERTY keyboard. But, the upcoming flagship from BB also has upgraded features and specs with reasonable price, enough to compete with other smartphones. It will be available in the US and Canada this coming May 31

The BlackBerry KEYone will have a 1620 x 1080-pixel touchscreen including a 3:2 aspect ratio. The upgraded 35-key physical keyboard includes capacitive touch support that makes the entire keyboard capable of using as a trackpad.
BB's next flagship will come up with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. Though it is not the latest, it allows the device to have a long-lasting battery life. It will also be paired with a 3GB RAM to have a smooth performance while running on Android 7.1 Nougat.
The device is only available with 32GB internal storage, but will support a microSD slot. The 3,505 mAh battery can be charged up to 50 percent within 36 minutes, thanks to QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging. When it comes to the camera performance, BB KEYone has an 8-megapixel shooter at the front and a 12-megapixel rear camera.
BlackBerry KEYone Price
The price of unlocked BlackBerry KEYone will be at $549, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 costs $725 at Best Buy. Meanwhile, carriers in Canada offer it at $199 CAD with a two-year contract, whereas the same contract with Samsung Galaxy S8 costs $250. That would also mean that the latest flagship from BB is cheaper than other devices right now.
Release Date
According to Engadget, the BlackBerry KEYone will be released in the United States and Canada on May 31. However, American customers can only purchase an unlocked GSM or CDMA versions, but it will be available on Sprint this summer. Additional details from other carrier deals likely to be revealed before the official launch in the U.S.
