Apple has a lot of features that users are fond of. However, the set-top box has one big drawback; it does not support Amazon's Prime Video Service. This summer, Apple and Amazon are said to be planning to set aside their differences to bring the feature to Apple TV.

According to the five sources who spoke to BuzzFeed, Apple will announce support for Amazon's premium service on Apple TV during a keynote address at the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 5. This supports rumors that this summer Amazon Prime Video will be available on Apple TV. However, the formal launch date is still uncertain.

Aside from Amazon Prime Video that will come to Apple TV, Amazon will reportedly return the favor and resume trading Apple TV on its website.

Two years ago, Amazon withdrew Apple TV and Google Chromecasts from its automated shelves in favor of competing video services like Rokus, game consoles, and its own Amazon Fire TV.

Since that incident, Amazon and Apple have not worked well together. For example, in 2014, Amazon removed in-app payments from iOS versions of its various services along with the currently obtained Comixology in return for Apple taking a 30 percent cut of each sale, Techradar reported.

While the ice could melt between Amazon and Apple soon, the coldness between Google and Amazon may last for a longer time. At the moment, Google's Chromecast does not support Amazon Prime Video.
