The actor mentioned about SIE Bend Studio's plans during a stream of "Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Unfortunately, he did not delve into the details, according to PlayStation Universe, which first reported this latest development.
There is scarcity in updates and news about "Days Gone" for quite a long time now after its debut at E3 2016. So, fans can hope that this statement from Witwer is proved to be true.
Perhaps, the game will finally get an announcement of its exact release date and other important details on its story or treat attendees to a hands-on demo. Last year, the game had notably appeared two times at E3 2016 where it was first unveiled with standard reveal trailer and second, a snippet of gameplay was shown to close the show.
This PS4-exclusive open-world survival horror video game is anticipated to arrive later in 2017. Thus, many believe that "Days Gone" is in the final stages of production and will be ready for release soon.
Meanwhile, Sony has already detailed its full PlayStation Live schedule for E3 2017. Demos and other news regarding the jajor PS4 games will reportedly be available starting June 12 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
The PlayStation Live will broadcast a full coverage of the annual trade show on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13 and 14, from 12:00 p.m. up to 6:00 p.m. Then, it will feed a live stream on Thursday, June 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. PDT.
Sony will first broacast the PlayStation Media Showcase where previews of huge titles are expected. These "God of War", "The Last of Us 2", "Spider-Man" PS4 and of course, "Days Gone".
