'Overwatch' is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment.
The latest details for "Overwatch" will feature a new hero and game map, as well as the start of Competitive Play Season 5 this week.
Blizzard Entertainment announced a new game map coming to "Overwatch" soon as the location will take players to the moon itself. The new map is called "Horizon Lunar Colony" and it used to be Winston's home prior to the events of the game.

The Horizon Lunar Colony map takes much of its inspiration from the "Overwatch" animated short "Recall," which gives a deeper look at Winston’s origin. The Horizon Lunar Colony served as a science mission where gorillas were experimented on. However, the gorillas are implied to have rebelled against the scientist, this left Winston to abandon his home due to the scientists fear of them, and the fate of his namesake parent Dr. Winston is left ambiguous.
Game director Jeff Kaplan explained what players will expect from the Horizon Lunar Colony map in "Overwatch" as he stated that they he and developers can to tell more of this backstory through the contextual storytelling of the map: the things players run into, the areas they explore.
Players can also stumble upon Winston's room when he was a baby gorilla and learn more about the scientists involve in the project at the lunar base.
Aside from the new map, the Horizon Lunar Base also teased a possible new character that could join "Overwatch's" roster soon. One of the gorilla subjects that have escaped the base besides Winston is named Hammond.
Hammond is mentioned via email from Zhang and it implies that he is not seen in his cage for a week. The email offers a distinction between Winston and Hammond. The latter is apparently a “smaller test subject,” meaning he might not be the brutish tank that Winston is.
Another email mentions that scientists on the colony have heard “strange sounds coming through the ventilation system throughout the colony,” a possible clue that Hammond could be a smaller, stealthier genetically modified gorilla, Polygon reported.
In other news, Blizzard will launch season 5 of Competitive Play in "Overwatch" this week.
Gamers from the United Kingdom are itching to play Competitive Play Season 5, but the will have to wait for June 1 to start playing. Elsewhere, season 5 already kicked off last May 31 at 5pm PDT, or 8pm EDT.
Players who completed their placement matches in Season 4 will receive the Hanamura Player Icon and Hanamura Spray. Everyone who finished in the top 500 will also receive an extra unique spray and player icon.
Season 5 rewards are said to be Numbani themed, which means players will receive a special Hero Animated Spray and Competitor Player Icon, Express reported.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
