Daybreak has split "H1Z1" into two games, namely "H1Z1: Just Survive" and "H1Z1: King of the Kill."

"H1Z1" has experienced another evolution. This time, developer Daybreak Games has now announced that there will be two titles for "H1Z1" coming, each having a different mechanic, though neither one being free-to-play titles.

Even though the game has already been in Early Access for quite some time, it appears that the game that players have come to know will have two different games that are off-shoots of the major game. Daybreak Games has confirmed that the two games will be "H1Z1: Just Survive" and "H1Z1: King of the Kill," as listed over the official H1Z1 blog.

"We started to notice new player trends emerging-both the initial Survival game and Battle Royale game mode now have strong populations who almost exclusively play one or the other," said the developer over their official blog.

"H1Z1: Just Survive" will be closer to how "H1Z1" was first envision. It will deliver an open-world survival title in a zombie-infested setting. Crafting, building a base and scavenging for resources will be the way to go to survive in the wild.

For fight-to-the-death exhilaration, "H1Z1: King of the Kill" emulates a Battle Royale style of fighting. The developer has also confirmed that the latter game will already be out of Early Access for the PC and will debut on the PS4 and Xbox One come the summer of this year.

The good thing about the split for "H1Z1" is that each will have a dedicated development team to keep supplying resources. Each game will even have a particular social media channel so that those who are focused on a particular game can still keep good track of the game.

Over at Steam, there is a current Early Access offer that will let players get both games at one low price. However, the offer is time-limited, and will only be available until Feb. 16.

As far as fan support is concerned, the split game will still most likely find a good deal of support. Early on in 2015, "H1Z1" has already surpassed the one million mark sales for copies while in Early Access, Kotaku reported. The developer has been continually improving the game since then, and it seems that loyal supporters will still receive good gifts from the developer.

Daybreak Games has assured fans that players who already have a copy of "H1Z1" will already get the two games in their Steam inventory once the split happens. Crates, keys and other items will be duplicated so they will be in both of the games, though Airdrop tickets can now only be used in "H1Z1: Just Survive," while Event tickets will now be solely for "H1Z1: King of the Kill."
