Many fans are dismayed to see that X-Men are missing from the leaked full roster for "Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite" that is supposed to be revealed at E3. But there are some who suspect that these much wanted characters will arrive via DLC in the near future.
Ahead of its E3 2017 official reveal, the full list of the playable characters to be featured in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" has been leaked online. The said roster sees the addition new and returning heroes and villains, although, some of the fan favorites are missing from the lineup.

The leaker named Ryce has fully disclosed the names of the characters coming to "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" via NeoGAF forums. However, Ryce did not reveal how and where he discover this piece of information and he only said that he is given "permission" to divulge it.
The Capcom characters include Arthur, Dante, Firebrand, Jedah, Monster Hunter, Morrigan, Nemesis, Ryu, Spencer, Strider Hiryu, Chris and Chun-Li. The leaker cited that Capcom is missing one character who is probably Frank West from the Dead Rising franchise.
From Marvel are Ant-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Gamora, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Nova, Spider-Man, Thanos, Thor, Ultron and then Rocket/Groot. Ryce said that it's how the character is named and he is guessing that it's Rocket Raccoon with Groot assists or an entirely redesigned character Rocket/Groot.
However, fans expressed their dismay over the leak as it does not include X-Men characters such as Wolverine, Magneto, Cyclops, or even Storm. It is noted that the ownership of X-Men franchise belongs to Fox and not Disney.
This might explain why these characters are not on the list and the game gets to highlight the "Avengers" heroes instead. But it is still possible that X-Men characters are planned to be released as a DLC post-launch, according to the leaker.
"Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite" will reportedly have a total of 28 playable characters in the main game and the first DLC pack will introduce six more. A leak also revealed that "Spider-Man" villain will arrive as a DLC character but it remains unknown when is the exact time that Venom will arrive in the game.
Capcom has confirmed that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Inifinite" will have a big presence at E3 in Los Angeles from June 13-14. It will also be playable during the CEO 2017 in Orlando, Florida from June 16-18, WWG reported.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will officially hit store shelves on Sept. 19 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Windows PC platforms. Make sure to stay tuned to E3 for more news and updates.
