The latest updates for "Metal Gear Survive" will feature a launch delay of the game and the reasons behind the sudden change.
It seems that the "Metal Gear Solid 5" spin-off, "Metal Gear Survive" will be delayed from its launch this for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, VG 24/7 reported. The spin-off will feature Mother Base soldiers that have been transported, through a wormhole, into a bizarre and zombie-filled alternate world. It’s a co-op game about banding together to deal with hordes of zombies, set on a modified version of the Afghanistan map from "The Phantom Pain."

According to Konami, the reason for the sudden change of release date is that they wanted to polish "Metal Gear Survive's" gameplay and has been pushed back to early 2018, Polygon reported. So far, Konami has not yet made any additional details regarding the spin-off and when will they release a new gameplay footage or trailer.
Konami first introduced "Metal Gear Survive" at Gamescom last year and will feature a four-player team instead of the series more prominent protagonist, Snake.
Players will encounter zombie like monsters in the area and must fight for survival. Luckily, players will have allies in the form of survivors and must work together to stay alive.
Konomi might be trying a new approach for "Metal Gear Survive" since the series creator Hideo Kojima left the company due to dispute over the development "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain", and gaming fans are not happy about the game at all, thinking that "Metal Gear Survive" has jump shifted from its stealth and espionage genre to that of a survival-horror game.
However, Konami explained that "Metal Gear Survive" will still have stealth based gameplay. Konami USA’s community manager Robert Allan Peer stated many people were upset about "Metal Gear Survive" and urge everyone to keep an open mind about its development.
Kojima himself denied any involvement into developing "Metal Gear Survive" and prefer to distance himself from the game.
"Metal Gear Survive" will launch sometime in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
