Guerilla Games has offered a slew of fresh and exciting details on the release of "Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds" at E3 2017. Apparently, it is the game's first expansion and story DLC that the developer had announced earlier this year.
"Horizon Zero Dawn" story will be expanded with the release of The Frozen Wilds DLC that will see the return of main protagonist, Aloy. The new trailer for the story expansion revealed at E3 2017 has teased fans of her next adventure.

New Enemies, New Area
"Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds" will introduce players to new types of machine enemies. There will also be a whole new area to explore, which means that gamers will not have to go back over familiar grounds from the main game.
It is not yet revealed what timeline of the HZD that the story DLC will take place but it is likely that it will pick up after the events of the main game. Aloy has also met a new a character from the trailer who warns her about the power of a machine lurking in the mountain.
Release Date and Price
The developer has not yet set a concrete release date for the story DLC other than it will be launched before 2017 ends. The pre-order for the expansion is now up on PlayStation store for a price of $20, but PS Plus subscribers can buy it at $5 less or at $15.
It is also noted that The Frozen Wilds is not a standalone expansion, so, one needs a copy of "Horizon Zero Dawn" to get it, US Gamer reported. For those who missed watching the new trailer from E3 2017 can view it below.
The game was developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment as a PS4 exclusive title in February this year. Following massive success"of "Horizon Zero Dawn", there are already talks of a possible release of "Horizon Zero Dawn 2".
