Avid gamers have long been waiting for the release of "Grand Theft Auto VI" (GTA VI). The highly anticipated sequel is speculated that will not be released any time soon.
"GTA 6" has yet to get an official announcement from Rockstar Games but before that, Rockstar North has already teased fans the sixth installment's alleged new setting. Speculations and rumors on the next gen platforms and possible addition of VR support also swirl online.
Amid Rockstar's silence over the purported development of "GTA 6", the thought of a new GTA game coming in the not so distant future excites loyal fans of the franchise. Now that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is nearing its release next year, it is expected that it will then be the studio's next focus, especially that there are reports indicating it's already in early stages.

In addition, Blorge claimed that Rockstar earlier teased the next setting for "GTA 6" and players will see the return of past cities from previous titles into the new game. This will allow gamers to move to and fro while revisiting these cities they got to explore before in the series.
Rockstar North Executive Leslie Benzies revealed this concept that as players explore "GTA 6", they can travel from one city to the next and return to their most loved city. But it is noted that it is yet to decide on the final location for the next game.
Many game analysts and fans see its release date to be quite far off, however, with the recent speculation suggesting a 2024 release date, a 10-year span from the time "GTA 5" was initially launched. This has roused more speculations that the sixth title will likely see its release on next gen platforms such as Sony's PS5 that is estimated to be available in the market around 2020.
Other than that, it is also seen plausible that it will also arrive with Virtual Reality compatible version as an added excitement feature to "GTA 6". While there are contrasting reports about its release date, one can't say when it is exactly coming and fans might still need more patience to hear the announcement from Rockstar games.
