Apple Watch
Apple Watch models got a $100 price cut a few days before Valentine's Day at retail chains including Best Buy and Target. However, it seems that the big discounts are a sign the tech giant wants a bigger smartwatch market share rather than it will roll out Apple Watch 2 soon. Walmart slashed the price tag of the smart watch's Sport version before last year's holiday season.

B&H is also offering $100 off on the Apple Watch. The sale includes 10 different 42mm and 38mm models; as well as stainless steel, rose gold aluminum, and space gray units, according to BGR.
Sale prices start at $249. In addition, the price tags include free shipping or in-store pickup, so there are no extra charges.
Apple is doubling-down to boost sales as it tries to grab market share. If people buy a discounted smart watch now they will likely purchase an Apple Watch 2 and apps.
Another way Apple can boost sales figures is through brand loyalty. Apple Watch only works with iPhones so customers will likely upgrade to iPhone 6 series or 7 models.
Apple is also only discounting its smartwatch at third-party retailers but not its own physical or online stores, according to Tech Crunch. This maintains the idea that it is a luxury item.
It is likely that there will be an Apple event on March 15. However, while the company could roll out new smartwatch bands and some software updates, and announce partnerships with fashion companies, it is unlikely Apple Watch 2 will be unveiled.
The March event could include the new iPhone 5se. It would be the follow-up smartphone of iPhone 5s.
iPhone 5se will reportedly have the exterior style of the 5s but the curved cover of the 6 model. It will also include an A8/A9 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, and near field communication (NFC) support for Apple Pay.
Apple might also launch a new iPad Air model at the March event as it is reportedly set to unveil the tablet during spring 2016. The company will likely launch a new Apple Watch and iPhone 7 in the fall.
