The specs of Xiaomi Mi 5 have surfaced yet again. However, the Chinese manufacturer has rejected the specifications of the smartphone that were recently revealed through leaked specifications
Xiaomi Mi 5 rumors are swirling all the more as the Feb. 24 announcement date gets closer. Popular leakster, Steve Hemmerstoffer has revealed two leaked photos of the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone along with its specs.

Xiaomi Mi 5 will be arriving with a 5.2-inch full HD screen. The physical Home button can be seen positioned below the display. One of the photos shows that the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset that clocks at 2.1 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM. It is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow that is overlaid with MUI 7.6.2.1, GSM Arena reported.
Recently, images of a leaked presentation of Xiaomi Mi 5 launch event was revealed. It showed that the smartphone will be coming with features like fingerprint sensor, new Wi-Fi standard of 802.11ad and USB Type-C. The leaked slides showed that it would be featuring 26 MP of camera.
It also revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 5 would be arriving will be arriving in two storage editions, one would feature 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and other one would come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to house a 3600 mAh battery.
However, Xiaomi released an official statement that the entire Mi 5 specs revealed through the leaked presentation did not originate from it, Android Authority reported. The publication also added that even though Xiaomi has claimed the presentation to be fake, some of the specifications may be accurate.
Rumors suggest that the 32 GB Xiaomi Mi 5 will be priced around $305 whereas the 64 GB model will be priced around $350. It is expected to be available in colors like pink, gold, silver and black.
When the Chinese manufacturer had announced the Mi Pad 2 tablet in November last year, it had also revealed that a Windows 10 Mobile variant of the tablet. Hence, Xiaomi is also expected to unleash a Windows 10 Mobile version of Mi 5 on Feb. 24
LG is slated to announce its flagship smartphone, the LG G5 on Feb. 21. Samsung is going to announce its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge flagship smartphones a day later on Feb. 22. hence, Xiaomi Mi 5 will be entering fierce battle against the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and LG G5.
