The "Galaxy A" line of devices is Samsung's flagship devices in the mid-range market. This device may be considered mid-range but they also pack some serious hardware specs. Case in point is the Galaxy A9 which sports a metal body with very think side bezels. A quick look at the smartphone and one will be convinced that it is marketed as a premium device.
Previous rumors speculate that the Samsung Galaxy A9 will have a 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset and 3GB of RAM. Considering these rumors, the Galaxy A9 has a pretty decent hardware and should Samsung decides to replace the Snapdragon 652 with an even better chipset, the A9 can be marketed as a premium device.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A9 was released in December 2015, and now an upgraded model is making headways in the tech community. The appropriately dubbed Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is rumored to be making its way in the two of the biggest Asian tech markets; China and India, according to Android Geeks.
The latest evidence supporting the claim is a leaked network certification document from China. The leaked document hints that the possible release date of the device in the region is sooner than originally anticipated.
Rumored Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro specs include a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution, 4GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel rear facing camera. Not much was revealed about its chipset but rumors claim that Samsung will power the device with something from Qualcomm's mid-ranged Snapdragon chipset.
According to Android Headlines, the Galaxy A9 Pro is believed to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box. In terms of storage space, most mid-tiered devices nowadays come with at least 16GB or 32GB storage space and it will not be a surprise should Samsung opt in for this.
Experts and tech enthusiasts believe that more information will leak in the future as the device nears its release date.
