Microsoft has reduced the price of its newest fitness band, Microsoft Band 2 to $175.
The Redmond giant had announced the Microsoft Band 2 wearable tech in October last year. At that time, it was launched with a price tag of $249. However, its price has been now slashed to $175 until Mar. 26. It can be availed with a $75 price cut through the Microsoft Store as well as Best Buy, MS Power User reported.

The Band 2 support multiple operating systems such as Android, iOS and Windows Phone. Users who own a Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile powered device can take advantage of the Cortana digital assistant service.
The Band 2 can be paired with a smartphone to view various kinds of notifications on its small display. Users can view alerts like missed calls, new emails, new text messages, and calendar events. Users can use it to track health data such as calorie count, steps walked, slept hours and other sports activities like running and playing golf. The device is also equipped with a heart rate monitor.
There are three Microsoft Band 2 options available. The small size will fit individuals that have wrist with sizes ranging from 5.7-inch to 6.5-inch. The Medium size will be suitable for those individuals that have wrists with sizes that measures 6.3-inch to 7.5-inch. Lastly, the Large option is available for those users who have wrist size that ranges between 7.3-inch to 8.5-inch, Phone Arena reported.
Some of the other features of the Band 2 include UV sensor, barometer, skin temperature sensor, GPS, microphone, gyrometer, ambient light sensor, and The Microsoft Band 2 is available in multiple markets like the U.S., the U.K., Canada and Australia. However, the $175 discount on Band 2 is only available for the users in the U.S.
The smartband can easily replace a regular wrist watch as it can display time and date. It also comes with additional features like alarm, timer and stopwatch.
Microsoft is also offering an amazing discount on the Lumia 640 smartphone that was released in April last year. The price of the handset has been reduced to $29 through AT&T's GoPhone pre-paid service. The usual price of the smartphone is $59. The Lumia 640 can be purchased for $29 through Best Buy and Walmart.
