The absence of a new Sony mobile device in the recently closed 2016 Consumer Electronics Show has led many tech analysts to speculate that the Japanese company is cooking something up for the upcoming
The Sony Xperia Z6 variant, Xperia Z6 Lite, will be released this year.
The device is rumored to be sporting a 5-inch display screen along with a hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chip set, according to Irish Examiner. The device is rumored to be sporting a metallic uni-body and is expected to be made available at a price of around $400 only.

It is already known that surprisingly enough, Sony skipped the CES event this year. The event was held in the first week of January, with many tech giants launching their respective devices.
The next major technology related event will be the Mobile World Congress which will take place in February. Sony is expected to launch the Xperia Z6 Lite in this event. It is also rumored that Sony is planning to flood the market with five different Sony Xperia Z6 smart phones aside from the parent Sony Xperia Z6 this year, according to GSM Arena.
If this is true, then Sony fans will be delighted to see six different smartphones from Sony this year.
The rumor also says that the Sony Xperia Z6 Compact Premium will be armed with a Snapdragon 820 processor along with Adreno 530 graphics. Xperia Z6 Compact Premium is speculated to sport a screen display of 4.7 inches with Full HD resolution and also 73.8 percent screen to body ratio.
Xperia Z6 Compact Premium is rumored to be equipped with 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage which will be expandable via a micro SD card slot. Sony Xperia Z6 Compact Premium is also expected to feature a 23 mega pixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and also a dual LED flash, along with an 8 mega pixel front camera.
Xperia Z6 Compact Premium is further expected to feature a finger print sensor and also the USB Type-C connection port.
The other four Sony Xperia Z6 smart phones include Sony Xperia Z6 Mini, Sony Xperia Z6 Plus, Sony Xperia Z6, and Sony Xperia Z6 Ultra T. All of these upcoming Sony Xperia devices will sport different screen sizes.
