Google Maps Stickers
Google Maps for Android devices rolled out a new update on March 18, Friday that allows users to put virtual stickers on key locations including their home, office, favorite restaurants, local gym, and city park. The 24 mini pictures include places such castles, lighthouses, barns, igloos, and pagodas; and modes of transportation including ships, submarines and sailboats. After signing into a Google account to add the colorful stickers they will show up on addresses that have been added to the mobile app.

Google announced the new stickers in a blog post. Users can choose from a wide selection of colorful stickers ranging from treehouses to teepees.
Google Maps' update does not roll out a big feature or fix bugs, but will certainly help to put a smile on people's faces and make getting around town more fun.
The new system replaces the stars that were included in past versions of the mobile app. It will now be much easier to plan a route traveling home from work, or going shopping on the weekend.
Google Maps' update also includes new data on traffic and public transportation, according to Tech Times. A new Taxi tab feature gives users of the Maps app a way to compare ride-sharing fares with Uber.
Maps app users in certain countries can learn which services are cheaper and then decide whether or not they want to call an Uber. In the past Google Maps included ride-sharing info from Uber that was listed with bus and train routes, but the app did not include the rates of other car services.
The application's new services go beyond basic driving directions. After tagging important places users can now make better daily schedules for work and play.
The search giant has a reason for people saving addresses for home, work, and businesses. If customers let its mobile apps collect data and analyze users' behavior its products can provide better artificial intelligence (AI) for features, according to The Verge.
Maps' new colorful stickers are now available for Android users, while the Alphabet company says that the new feature will be rolled out for iOS devices as soon as possible.
