Bungie said that the Destiny update will be named as the April Update and with a label of Patch 2.2.0.
Bungie has announced that it will launch update 2.2.0 for “Destiny” across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
The American video game developer said that the update will be named as the April Update and with a label of Patch 2.2.0. As promised, it will be launched on April 12 with at least several updates for the players’ delight. The update will be free for anyone who owns The “Taken King” expansion. To reveal gradually the updates for the players, Bungie will be hosting Twitch streams to show the preview of the new things to do, new things to earn, and Sandbox and Crucible changes, according to GameRant.

In the update, there is a new quest that revolves around the mysterious Blighted Chalice strike. In addition, there is an added various player-versus-environment (PVE) challenges for the players. Players can also look forward to several of new and updated gear, updated Crucible and Sandbox, and an increased maximum Light level with rewards to match.
The April update will also include new Clan Leaderboards, PlayStation Lifestyle reported. The data is a placeholder; the Team Rezo will determine their actual in-game leaders once the deployment is complete. Bungie believes that once the player is able to discover the sense of belonging with an awesome crew, playing the game will be even better. This is the first time that the company did the Clan LeaderBoards.
“For that to work, about 200 Clans will encounter some minor housekeeping. If your Clan includes more than 100 people across two platforms (i.e. PlayStation Network and Xbox Live), you’ll see your members broken out across two rosters in your existing private group. The older of the two Clans will need to be given a new unique name. In my case, the Gunslingers would become “Gunslingers PSN” and “Gunslingers XBL,” or something similar. You’ll be able to make the change in a way that suits your style. Also, if you’re the Founder of a Clan of which you’re not a member, you’ll be asked to choose a Captain to lead that Clan as a member of your staff,” the game developer said in a blog post.
It is considered that this update will be bigger and popular compared to the live events such as “Festival of the Lost,” “Sparrow Racing League,” or “Crimson Days” before. “Destiny” fans will definitely wait for the promised major expansion that will happen in April.
