Microsoft's 18 mobile phone devices that were running on Windows Phone 8.1 will now be able to run on the latest platform released by them. Windows 10 Mobile update has been released that has a lot of new features; however, before you go for the update, the hardware of the phone must be considered for the compatibility with the software.

The minimum system requirements for Windows 10 upgrade are the processor of 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory for 32-bit and 2GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory for 64-bit. DirectX 9 graphic card with WDDM 1.0 driver and a screen resolution of 800 pixels x 600 pixels is also minimum hardware requirement.
According to Tech Times, there are some changes from the previous version of Windows. Missed calls, e-mails and messages notifications will not be shown on the contact tiles. Also, Me Tile, Me Card will not be supported now and status updates will not come on group tiles.
According to Venture Beat, Cortana will discontinue supporting features like Apps, email, settings, contacts, text messaging and QR Codes. Also, Hey Cortana will no longer be a supported feature with the latest Windows 10 on your mobile device.
Apart from this, Indoor Maps will not work for some locations and the Outlook Mail App, EML attachments and Outlook Calendar are no longer a supported feature. Data Protection Under Lock and MDM capability that prevents sharing and saving are no longer a supported feature.
One good thing is the connectivity of Windows 10 Mobile with Windows 10. Windows 10 automatically updates the mobile version. Windows 10 Mobile is definitely a Yes OS for mobile devices that have hardware to support the package. It should be your choice as to go with the update, or just buy other device for the new features you will be getting and some features you will be missing out.
