Here's the list of top 5 most popular tech brands for 2016.
Apple
Apple remains the world's top most valuable brand with a value of US$145 billion. It has a brand value of 14 percent and record-breaking revenue of US$75.3 billion for the last three months of 2015. Though disappointments are spread in the market due to its decrease in sales, but with its flagship product iPhone6, Apple is still ruling the market.

Qualcomm
As the company's flagship processor the Snapdragon 810, proved to be a disaster, Qualcomm becomes the biggest loser in the technology brand.Its brand value dips 17 percent and rating downgraded to AA from AA+. Also, due to its poor performance, Samsung removed the Qualcomm processor from its flagship Galaxy line.
Samsung
With positive reception of the Galaxy S6, Samsung's brand rating has been restored to AAA this year. Recently launched Galaxy S7 has a significantly improved design, and also adds features such as water resistance, extended battery life with an expandable storage. Also, revenues have bounced substantially from its semiconductor business.
Uber
With an impressive brand value of US$11 billion, Uber has firmly established itself in the top end of this year's technology chart. Itsrecently launched logo failed to impress and would not able to give it a new identity. Uber continues to earn profits in east but still facing regulatory challenges in the west, as the company is facing protests from taxi unions and transport officials.
WeChat
With 83 percent increase in brand value WeChat makes itself one of the fastest growing brands. With registered users of around 1.1 billion, this messaging app also offers a payment platform. It was announced by the holding company Tencent that WeChat will soon charge its users for payment transactions. This move will further boost revenues.
