The unlocked BlackBerry Priv will not work CDMA networks like Verizon. As far as Sprint is concerned, the carrier has confirmed that it will not be selling BlackBerry Priv.

In the previous week, CEO of BlackBerry, John Chen had acknowledged the BlackBerry Priv carried an expensive price tag at launch, Phone Arena reported. BlackBerry Priv, the first Android smartphone from the company was launched with a pricing of $700. The company soon introduced a $50 discount after its launch, but it did not compel more buyers to purchase it.

Chen has confirmed that the company will be releasing two Android smartphones this year. Both the devices will be priced around $300 to $400. Since these phones are expected to carry affordable price tags, speculations are rife that they not be high-end smartphones like the Priv. One of the upcoming Android smartphones from BlackBerry is expected to arrive with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

The BlackBerry Priv was launched last year in October. It measures 147 x 77.2 x 9.4 mm and weighs 192 grams. It is packed with a 5.4-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels along with a screen-to-body ratio of 71.9 percent.

The Priv is powered by Snapdragon 808 chipset that features a 64-bit hexa-core processor that clocks at 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 418 graphics. The same chipset is found in several flagship smartphones from 2015 such as LG G4, Moto X Pure Edition and Microsoft Lumia 950. The SD 808 chip of BlackBerry Priv is supported by 3 GB of RAM.

It comes with a native storage of 32 GB and users can add up to 200 GB of microSD card on its external storage. It houses a 18 MP Schneider-Kreuznach lens that comes with features like OIS, dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus. The front panel houses a 2 MP camera. The massive 3410 mAh battery of the smartphone carries support for fast charging and wireless charging.
