Apple iPhone 7 2016 Release Date Will Deliver Phablet 7 Plus With 256GB Memory, Bigger Battery – Report
Following the recent publication of a report showing a decline in iPhone sales, tech analysts are expecting Apple to integrate essential upgrades to the upcoming iPhone 7 in order to revitalize demand.
A leak from Chinese microblogging website Weibo suggests that the Cupertino-based tech company is aiming to upgrade the battery pack of the iPhone 7 by ditching some components, specifically the headphone jack.

When rumors started to surface claiming that Apple is ditching the headphone jack in order to make room for a bigger battery pack, the tech community was divided. While some are pleased to know that Apple is addressing the iPhone's battery issues, some are not contented since the tech giant is trashing the headphone jack as a consequence.
A leaked photograph posted on Weibo shows the alleged battery pack of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Based on the codes embedded on each battery pack, the iPhone 7 will have a 1736mAh battery pack, while the iPhone 7 Plus will have a 2810mAh battery pack, according to Forbes.
In comparison, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus have a 1715mAh and 2750mAh battery pack, respectively. This means that the upgrade is not really a huge game changer. Some tech experts believe that sacrificing the headphone jack for a small increase in battery power is not a good trade at all. Moreover, the Lightning Port will be required to provide power to any digital headphone without its own battery pack.
A portion of the tech community believes that it will boil down to how efficient Apple's new A10 chipset will be in real life applications. Experts suggest that although Apple did not make significant upgrade in terms of its battery pack, the promised efficiency of the A10 chipset will be the biggest game changer.
Apple has kept its silence and has not provided any details regarding the iPhone 7. Tech experts believe that Apple is planning to unveil its new flagship smartphone in September, according to Daily Mail. Until then, the tech community will have to rely on rumors and leaks as their primary source of information regarding the iPhone 7 specs.
