The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is now official. It has arrived with features like 5-inch screen, Snapdragon 616 SoC and 4100 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 has been announced to replace the Redmi 2 budget smartphone. It is fitted with a 5-inch HD screen that offers a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It delivers a pixel density of 294 ppi along with a screen-to-body ratio of 71.1 percent. It is powered by Snapdragon 616 chipset and 2 GB of RAM, GSM Arena reported

The Snapdragon 616 SoC houses a 64-bit octa-core processor that works at 1.5 GHz. It comes with an internal storage of 16 GB whereas the external storage carries support for up to 128 GB of microSD card. The Android OS on the device is overlaid with MIUI 7 software.
A 13 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture lens is present on the rear panel of the handset. It is coupled with single LED flash and is capable of autofocusing in just 0.1 second, Phone Arena reported. The front-facing shooter of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is of 5-megapixel.
It is a dual-SIM smartphone that allows users to use one of the SIM cards slot for adding a microSD card. Other connectivity options available on the Redmi 3 include 4G LTE and Wi-Fi.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 measures 139 x 69.5 mm and it weighs 144 grams. Even the smartphone is packed with a mammoth battery of 4100 mAh capacity, it sports a slim profile of 8.5 mm. The huge battery carries support for 5V/2A fast charging.
Even though the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is a budget phone, the manufactures have built it with full-metal design. The rear panel sports a design of beautifully arranged diamonds giving it a premium appeal. It is available in three color options such as grey, gold and silver.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 will go on sale from tomorrow in China with a price tag of RMB 699 (around $105). Customers located in other parts will be able to purchase it through third-party Chinese retailers like GearBest and TinyDeal. As of this writing, there is no confirmation as to when the Redmi 3 will be officially available in other countries of the world.
