YouTube is gearing to dominate the world of Television and has launched the latest version of its TV app. The company is likely to face tough competition from rivals like Netflix and other smart TV manufacturers.
Earlier this month, Netflix overtook Youtube in New Zealand on a number of networks. While this might have also prompted the phenomenal streaming service to improvise on its TV app, the effort seems to be part of a higher purpose.

The move is seen as a part of YouTube's plan to expand the reach of its service even further and to dominate the TV experience of users worldwide.
YouTube claims that its viewers doubled last year, thus, raising hopes that there is much more potential. YouTube has tried to optimize the new interface to deliver a seamless streaming experience for viewers.
While the app still focuses on promoting shorter content, it is more streamlined and enables users to find the content they are searching for quickly.
While YouTube has maintained most of its old categories, some have been ditched while many new sub-categories have been added, such as Pokemon Go under gaming.
The new YouTube App promises to make big-screen viewing totally different while making it seamless to navigate and search for content.
While the new YouTube app is now available in the US, the rest of the world will have to wait a bit longer for it.
