"The LG V20 is designed to offer customers a more dynamic experience by building on the most popular video and audio features of the V series," LG's mobile division chief Juno Cho said in a statement.
The LG is hoping to revive its mobile business with the launch of its latest device in the 'V series. Juno said the company is banking on the fact that the new LG smartphone would be a turning point for its mobile division.
The LG V20 is billed as the world's first device to run on the Google-developed Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box. It would come with a 5.7-inch high definition display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels.
The newest LG smartphone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.
The LG V20, an upgraded version of LG V10, has 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It sports a fingerprint censor and is much lighter and thinner than its predecessor.
